A diagnosis alone does not automatically mean entitlement to a disability pension; the effect on work capacity is assessed.
For illness or injury outside work, the prescribed pension-insurance-period condition is generally also checked.
For a work injury or occupational disease, special rules apply to the insurance-period condition.
A temporary disability pension is a separate right with additional conditions.
