Important notes
- The healthcare institution or another authorised person reports the fact of birth within 15 days.
- Parents must choose the child’s name within 30 days of birth.
- Local newborn support depends on the city, municipality or county and is not automatically the same as state support.
- Birth outside a healthcare institution requires additional medical documentation or proof of maternity.
