Prepare documents
Complete Form 1, prepare an identity document and sign a statement of actual residence at the address.
Obtain proof for use of the address
If not owner, obtain consent of all owners or a certified rental contract. The owner can also consent electronically through e-Citizens.
Register the new permanent residence at the police
Submit documents to the police administration or station competent for the new address within 15 days of settling. When changing residence within Croatia, police deregister the old address.
Apply for a new identity card
After changing permanent residence, the existing identity card becomes invalid; apply for a new one within 15 days.
