Bring the old driving licence, medical certificate when required and a photo if the Ministry does not have a suitable recent photo.

Use an activated eID card with identification and signing certificate.

Upload required attachments and sign the application
Attach the medical certificate and proof of payment where required; photo and signature are retrieved from Ministry records.

Choose collection or delivery
Online offers only the regular procedure; choose police collection or delivery to your registered address.

Wait for production and collect the new driving licence
When collecting, return proof of application if issued to you.

For professional and certain higher categories, a medical certificate may be mandatory.
Do not assume every expired driving licence can be renewed without a medical examination.

Medical certificate is older than six months.
Submitting the application without checking restrictions and categories on the old licence.
Electronic identity-card certificates are not activated for online application.
